The northern part of the scheme contains the zone of public buildings and landmarks, including the new Exposition Centre and the existing buildings of the University (VTU) and the District Administration. This area is green and contains generous public spaces for leisure and open-air activities, while large existing and new trees create shaded pockets and create framed views of the monumental buildings. A special box is therefore proposed to accommodate the treasures of the museum: the arts exhibition on the ground floor, the numismatic exhibition on the first, the treasury on the second and the Lviv panorama on the third and fourth floors. The treasury box (szkatuła) is placed inside a large void in the middle of the plot, as a totem, standing out of its surroundings, thus highlighting its importance. Under the topic of the Great Beauty, the students researched the notions of beauty and ugliness in art, fashion, architecture and politics and came up with a series of counter statements, research material, models and a final performance that provoke and extend our understanding of the Great Beauty in the contemporary society! From the students: Our work started with a search of the definition of beauty itself. It turned out that understanding it as an opposition of ugly is the most straightforward way. The most archaic and labour intense of them, agriculture constitutes the foundations of our food chain and cultural evolution.  Out of all agricultural operations, the process of harvesting is the one that has inspired the most rituals and created a collective imaginary across the centuries. Harvesting marks the end of the growing season and celebrates the success of the production process, provides the satisfaction of collecting the crops and initiates the processing of them into food products such as flour and bread. The potentials and the shape of the site, alongside its location, inspire a building typology that is free-standing and accessible all around - a pavilion in the park. The direct connection with the existing Cyprus Museum and the continuity to the municipal park on the North are the key elements for the urban alignment of the proposal.
