Positioned in the heart of the island, the building is shaped as an inviting podium that blends with the landscape in the southern side of the location and raises up to become a landmark on the north side facing the city. Therefore, the building adopts an iconic urban presence from the side of the city, yet it functions as a modest extension of the landscape and the public route from the side of the Park. It is located 17 km from the Great Pyramids of Giza and 32 km from the city of Cairo and it consists of a desert city. The cultural context and the site on the one hand impose challenges and difficulties, and on the other hand they offer large opportunities for intervention development.  Egypt has been since ancient times a country with a leading role in the development of sciences and production of intellect.
